Meal planning made EASY!

MealplanningmenuUSe Life gets busy and I always tend to be last minute trying to put together a meal out of the random foods I have left in the fridge and cupboards. If I’m lucky I got out some sort of meat to thaw from the freezer, if there’s lettuce I can throw together a salad and hopefully there’s some other vegetable or side to throw together. Chances are this meal doesn’t end up tasting very great and we don’t even really want to eat it much less are able to enjoy it. When I have the time to plan out our meals for the week before going to the grocery store I usually find two or three meals that sound good and when I follow the recipe they turn out pretty tasty too. But that’s only if I have time to plan my grocery list and then figure out all the ingredients for these meals and hope there will be leftovers so I don’t have to plan lunch the next day either!

How to Slow down Aging

Looking younger and healthy is very important for many women in the Western world. While we’re waiting  for someone to find out the Fountain of Youth, here are some easy tips to slow down the aging process.

1. Change your eating habits

One of the best tip to slow down the aging process is very simple. You must adopt a balanced lifestyle. If you are committed to change your eating habits, the results will be visible in no time.

Cut back your sugar intake significantly.  A little sugar here and there isn’t the end of the world but opt for natural sugar (like the kind in dehydrated pineapple for example) or use Agave to sweeten your baked goods. If it is not the case, you know what you have to do. Stay away from highly-processed food. These products are depleted of the nutriments your body craves. When you consume highly-processed food on a daily basis, you poison your body slowly, but surely.

If you want to find the nutriments your body needs, eat fresh food. Buy fruits and vegetables galore. Eat them raw, you will see the difference. When you have cravings, go for nuts and seeds. Forget about the candy bars. Get more greens in your diet, and you’ll start to look (and feel) younger!

2. Hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate some more

I know you’ve heard it a million times but we can’t stress this enough: you need to drink lots of water to stay healthy! Many people go through the day completely dehydrated. We don’t drink enough, it is a fact.

Dehydration can cause headaches, memory loss, and it is bad for your skin. Don’t forget to hydrate. Drinking a lot of water can make a huge difference on the overall appearance of your skin.  If you think water is boring then add some lemons, cucumbers, berries, whatever you want to add in some natural flavoring.  You can even mix your fresh fruit/veggie/herb ingredients to create your own concoction!  Think cucumber/mint/lemon or lemon/strawberry/chocolate mint….whatever you like is great ~ Just drink enough water and your skin will thank you

3. Use the Instant Facelift Band ~ Our Secret Weapon

Celebrities have many secrets they don’t want to share with us, including the instant face lift band. This is the best way to shed ten years off your face without any surgery!  It’s SIMPLE and so easy to use, discreet and takes less than 2 minutes to put in.

The Facelift Band© is an adjustable, clear band that attaches with a special clip to a small section of hair above the ear on both sides of the head.  The band is camouflaged beneath the hair and then adjusted to create the perfect tension to gently lift the loose and sagging skin around the upper face and eye area for a younger, fresher looking appearance.

Here you are,  look years younger without any surgery, needles, Botox or fillers!

4. Quit smoking

Smoking is a nasty habit.  There I said it.  People I know and love smoke and I hate it!  I wish for their sake and for those around them that they would just stop already.  I get it, I know habits can be difficult to break. (I bite my nails and have been trying to quit for years, but it isn’t going to potentially kill me!)

When you smoke, you seriously damage your skin as well as create all sorts of problems for your body that we won’t lecture you on here.  What is the point of pampering yourself with beauty treatments, healthy food, and water all day if you destroy all your efforts with that distasteful habit?  Try the gum, try the patch, try using your former cigarette money to buy something awesome for yourself as a reward for quitting, do some research on actually how bad smoking is for your health and see what makes it REAL for you ~ whatever you do, I believe in you and know that you can quit!

5. Don’t go to bed with make up on

That’s the first thing you learn when you start your make-up routine as a teenager.  You’ve seen all of the Neutrogena commercials where the girl is effortlessly (and glamorously I might add) washing her face by splashing water all over herself and seemingly not getting water all over her bathroom.  I can tell you from experience they should have in little parentheses at the bottom of the screen (Please do not try this technique at home, your bathroom will get soaking wet and your mother WILL make you clean it up).

Either way when you try to wash your face in the sink it can be a little messy.  Luckily as an adult I’ve found these handy arm bands and headband/hair holder set that help keep things tidy.

First off, buy a good quality foundation.  It will make a real difference. Then, thoroughly take it off at night.  If you constantly go to bed with full make up on, you are going to have breakouts and pimples because your skin will be congested.  You are going to develop puffiness around your eyes and eventually wrinkles. Many skin problems are due to a poor, inconsistent skin care routine.

Whenever you want to remove your make up, try to use a facial cleanser.  First, you get rid of the make-up; and then, you clean up your skin. Wash off gently. To keep your pores clean, you  should also exfoliate.  Once again,be gentle with your skin!  Don’t scrub it as if it was a carpet because you will damage the collagen and create more wrinkles and sagging over time.
