Fall Trends For 2015

Fall is almost here, and with that it’s time to look into the hot trends for the season. Soon we’ll have to put away our bathing suits, adorable straw hats, short shorts, and all those strappy tank tops we love so much in the warmer months. It’s a little depressing, but if you are bummed about the change in weather just grab the latest GIANT issue of Vogue Magazine to uncover all the latest fall items that are a must have. This issue is always the biggest of the year with over 800 pages this time of high end goodies to feast your eyes on.

Even if you aren’t in the league to afford the latest Tom Ford handbag, there are many lines that make quality items that are on trend with the high end fashion ones. You just have to zero in on the styles you like, and check out what the stores have to offer at your local mall. Nordstrom Rack is a great place to find designer options for less than designer prices.

Target each season pairs up with some fabulous designers to create one-of-kind pieces for Target prices. Remember how fast all of Target’s partnership pieces with Lilly Pulitzer went at the beginning of summer? Insanity. I got there early of course to grab my Pulitzer Target button up polo shirt right when the store opened. I’m no slouch when it comes to affordable fashion. Here are some other trend to try on this fall.

Statement Earrings: The cool new part of this trend is that the earrings don’t even have to match! You can do a large cuff earring on one ear, and a dangling delicate earring on the other. Anything goes here so get creative with your ear wear.

Anything Printed: Plaid, paisley, argyle, polka dots, whatever kind of print you are in the mood to wear this fall will put you in the “in crowd.”

80’s Everything, Including Neon: As someone who grew up in the 80’s and adored pink neon like it was a primary color, I’m a little reluctant to take on this trend. Legwarmers anyone?

Thigh High Boots: This sexy look is the one you have to rock this fall. Try the boots in creamy suede fabric for an extra luxury feel. This can be quite practical because the more leg you cover up with your boots the warmer you’ll be. Sorry if you live in Arizona where your base winter temp is 75 degrees, these boots will look ridiculous on you. Kind of like all those California Ugg wearing girls. It’s just silly.

Car Wash Skirts: This is a new one. Truly the bottom of this skirt is below the knee, but looks exactly like it sounds. You know those strips of car wash fabric that smacks into your car to clean it at the car wash? They look like this, but the ones from Dior this season are the ultimate in fringey fun. Oscar de La Renta, and Tommy Hilfiger also rocked this look at each of their fall shows.

The Rope Belt: Not much to say here. It’s a belt that looks like a rope.

A Silk Scarf: This is a great look that chic for the office or just bopping about town because you are a lady on the go. A vintage silk scarf is even better than new if you can find a proper one at a reputable resale shop. If it’s Hermes then you have really scored!

Overalls: No. Just no.

*Whether you are hip to try any of these fall trends, the idea here is that feel free to be yourself with whatever fashion choices you make. Rock those overalls if you really want to! We won’t judge.
